Animal Confession started off running in 2018 with the recent release of their sophomore record, “Age of Today” on April 13, 2018. Fresh off playing their first ever RBC Bluesfest in which they performed on the main stage alongside acts including Rise Against and Three Days Grace, the band is excited to support their new record by playing both local shows and small and large festivals.
Inspired by artists such as Thrice, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle and Highly Suspect – CeVILAIN puts a twist on typical song structure to allow seamless transitions and free expression of storytelling. Frontman Cliff Menzies and bassist Adam Tremblett often match riffs in unison to drive home song elements. This, supported by the power-house drumming of Andrew Parmelee, allows the listener to connect with the heart of the songs. The vocal power of Cliff is nothing short of extraordinary; easily transitioning from quiet, emotive crooning to expressive high notes, to growling, raspy expressions.
