Those of you who live in Ottawa know this man very well. He has been a mainstay in the lineups of a multitude of events, clubs, parties and festivals. He embodies the vibe of the Ottawa night in a way few others capture. His unapologetic, vigorous musical style has no trouble conveying the atmosphere of the sweaty, raunchy afterhours dancefloors that Ottawa is so hungry to flock to again after this damn pandemic passes.
Teddy Rockspin is a producer and Bass Camp North resident DJ who got started with music playing bass in progressive metal bands. Growing up in the 80s, his influences draw from the sounds of classic video game soundtracks, punk and metal. This shaped his passion for house music and his deep, dark and heavy brooding sound. With a focus on blurring the line between Deep/Tech House and Techno, he aims to bring people together, make them feel and make them move.
Z∀K is a Canadian DJ based in Ottawa who got his start on local radio. Since then, he has played at clubs, festivals, venues, and corporate events. His energetic yet laid-back approach allows him to give every genre of dance music his own spin. He also currently serves on the board of directors for CKCU-FM. He is an Admin for the largest music discussion group on Facebook, as well as Moderator for the largest DJ discussion group on Facebook; as such Z∀K is able to analyze current music trends from a unique perspective.
Over his 25+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, dance-able, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. Inspired by prog rock, early Dutch techno, 1990’s trance and New York house, his tastes have evolved towards progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions. His weekly podcast Ottawa Prog Vibes is a mainstay on Mixcloud’s Canadian Top 100 electronica shows and often charts in the top 20 nationwide. He has been featured on radio shows globally from the UK to Spain, the Netherlands, Argentina, Peru and the US.
Emmett Stowe was first introduced to computer generated imagery while working for a production company in Australia setting up visuals for festivals. It was there that he produced his first projection mapping installation. Since coming back to Ottawa he has worked with local event organizers, dancers, and DJs. Emmett's style centers on three dimensional prismatic screens built to give video graphics a heightened sense of depth and texture.
