A long time ago, in a media landscape far, far away, Steve Love’s uncanny knack for celebrity impressions landed him an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and a subsequent cameo on the HBO series Game Of Thrones. He promptly vanished from the public consciousness. But that was not the end. For the last decade, Love has laboured in the shadows of Canadian comedy clubs, patiently waiting for his moment to shine on the world stage once more. At long last, he will commit his work to film (well, technically they shoot digital) in a live album recording, in his hometown of Ottawa, in beloved entertainment venue LIVE! On Elgin. One night. Two shows. Live. Laugh. Love. But Steve Love knows he can’t do it alone. That’s why he’s bringing a duo of very special guests along with him. Feature act Big Jo (a.k.a. Joey McDougall) is an Ottawa-based comedian, actor, producer and acting coach. MC Tavis Maplesden is an award-winning comedian known as much for his brilliant writing as he is for his impeccable crowd work. He has opened for Doug Stanhope, Gilbert Gottfried, Steve Hofstetter. With shows at 8 and 10:30pm, this promises to be a night of irrepressible laughs, irresistible ambiance, and most importantly, Love.
