Live Music
Folk n' Roll Night Out
at LIVE! on Elgin
Featuring Isaac Baronikian and Liam S. Russell
Isaac Baronikian:
With songs and sold-out performances that have earned him community radio play across Canada and comparisons to Donovan Woods, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, and Bahamas, Isaac is carving out his own slice of space as a mellow songwriter with relevant things to say. Writing to the sounds of post-Toronto-indie-folk-recession-rock, Isaac sings about the way things are and where they might be headed. Isaac’s debut singer-songwriter record, For The Road, will release independently in early 2026. For The Road was self-produced with support from the City of Ottawa’s Creation and Production Fund for Professional Artists and a successful GoFundMe fundraising campaign.
Liam S. Russell:
Liam S. Russell is a Songwriter based in Ottawa, Ontario. He writes lyrics exploring characters and stories based on Canadian small town lives. He has a degree in music from Carleton University, where he studied songwriting with Kalle Mattson (a Juno and Polaris nominated songwriter). He has opened for a number of artists including Jim Bryson, Summersets, and The Lionyls. His influences include but are not limited to Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch, Jeff Tweedy, John K. Samson, Tom Waits, Christian Lee Hutson and Elliott Smith.
